LivFit Group and Semi Private Class Policies and Procedures
Our first policy is for every member to have a great experience! The purpose of these policies is to provide consistent guidelines for all members enrolled in Group Exercise Classes or Semi Private Classes. Our goal is to create a safe and enjoyable exercise environment for our members. We have members of all ages, ability, fitness levels and commitment, as well as ethnicities in our LivFit Studio. As such, please be considerate of others. We want everyone to enjoy a healthy and fun environment. Yes, we have rules but they are made with YOU in mind.
1. Exercise Clothing and hygiene:
Clothing should be clean, comfortable and conducive to exercise, and not restrict your movement: We recommend athletic apparel, cotton shorts, shirts, tank tops. We highly suggest women wear a full coverage sports bra and we ask that the clothing appropriately cover your body. In addition to proper clothing, proper hygiene and gym etiquette is required. Please refrain from wearing strong perfumes and lotions due to allergies and sensitivities of other members. Practice personal hygiene by using deodorants and clean clothes to class. With our Studio being relatively small with low airflow, it's important to abide by this policy. We want LivFit and all its classes to be enjoyable for everyone.
No street shoes are allowed past the waiting area at LivFit. We require that you bring “studio only” shoes that are not worn outside. It is important that we keep our floors clean and free of water and debris for your safety.
A. Barre classes, Piloxing, PiYo, and Strength & Balance - No shoes are required when you take these classes. We require yoga socks or some form of non-slip foot covering. Yoga socks can be purchased from the retail area of the studio.
B. Zumba - We highly recommend that if you are regularly taking Zumba classes, that you invest in “Zumba” or dance shoes. These shoes are specifically designed for the movement you will perform in the class. They allow you to move easier and save your knees! But any sneaker is allowed.
C. Tabata-P90X-TRX-STRONG-Turbo Kick- Any form of athletic shoe will work.
D. POUND - Athletic shoes or yoga socks (or some form of non-slip foot covering) is required for this class.
*Wearing the proper footwear is important for your safety and success.*
These substances are not allowed in the LivFit Studio or on LivFit property.
4. Food and Beverages:
Only bottled water and plastic containers with water are allowed to be carried into the LivFit Studio. Please avoid bringing glass bottles into the studio. No food (including gum) is allowed past the LivFit waiting area.
5. Health and Safety:
According to ISSA fitness Physical activity (working out) is not recommended if you have a fever, diarrhea or vomiting. You should abstain from working out for 24 hours after the last bout, or the fever is gone. Focus on hydrating! We at LivFit ask that if you have a contagious illness like the flu, bronchitis or strep, you refrain from coming to the studio until you have received proper care from your doctor and he/she has stated it is safe for you to attend without the probability of infecting others. We will always strive to keep our studio clean and as germ free as possible for our students and their health.
We are all here to get/stay healthy, get away from life for a bit and have fun. We ask that once class has begun, that you refrain from conversation and turn your attention to the instructor. This is for your safety and the safety and enjoyment of other participants. If at all possible, we ask that you silence your cell phones to ensure a peaceful class for all participants. Inform your family of where you will be and ask them to refrain from contacting you for the time you are here. If your phone must be with you, please put it on vibrate. If you need to take a call, please leave the studio and have your conversation in the waiting area. We designed LivFit to be a place where our students can come and enjoy their time surrounded by people who support and encourage positive self-image and thinking. Please be respectful of others and refrain from foul language and negative comments while in the studio. Our words are very powerful, let’s be sure to use them to build each other up.
If you become sick or injured at LivFit studios during a class, you must inform your teacher as soon as possible. We care about your well-being and want to help. Please do not leave the studio if you are feeling ill or if you have injured yourself without informing your teacher. He/she will need to complete an Injury/Sickness report and have been trained to assess whether they feel you need further care. One of the LivFit owners will follow up with you.
8. Contract Cancellation fees:
If you purchase a contract, 6 or 3 months, you are committing to paying the discounted price each month for the full term of the contract. $59 for 6 months and $85 for 3 months. If you choose to cancel your contract before the end, you will be subject to paying the difference.
3 month contract cancelled early will be subject to a fee of $10 for each month used in the contract.
6 month contract, if cancelled early will be subject to a fee of $36 for each month used in the contract.
Also any promotional discounts received at the time of signing the contract will be owed back.
Tips for a Good Workout
Arrive on time! A warm-up period is offered for safety and comfort. It is not a good idea to miss any part of the warm-up period.
Work at your own pace. Modifications are offered for varying fitness levels, so select the one that is challenging yet comfortable.
Try a variety of classes. Everyone has a favorite, but different classes address different aspects of fitness. Switching up your workout routine will also help with the dreadful Plateau! Recruit a buddy if you need extra motivation.
Ask questions before and after class if you have concerns or want to know what the class will be like.
Try something twice. Sometimes learning the terminology and form at the first session can change your perception of a certain class.
We love to hear feedback from our members (especially good, but even bad). Feel free to email us, leave a note in our customer comment box, speak to a trainer or contact the owners.
We want to make your workout pleasant. If you need help of any kind, please ask a trainer for assistance.
Lost and Found
Articles lost in the studio are kept in the lost and found box located by the front door as you enter the studio. LivFit Studio is not responsible for any lost or stolen articles or for any items left at the front desk while you are at the studio.
During times of inclement weather, the LivFit Studio will make every effort to remain open. There may be times, however, that a staff member is unable to make a shift due to weather conditions (especially in the early morning and because some travel from afar) and the studio will be closed. If you have reserved your class spot through the system, you will receive a text or email to inform you of the closing.

Cancellation of Classes
LivFit is staffed by exceptional trainers who have a passion for fitness and a healthy lifestyle with the desire to share that with others. These exceptional people are also moms with full time jobs and families, and, as you all know life can get in the way of the best laid plans. It is our commitment to provide our members and students with a consistent schedule. We have built into our membership package a number of classes each month above and beyond what the membership pays for, in order to accommodate for the occasional cancellation. Unfortunately, due to time and space restrictions, we are unable to make-up any missed classes as a result of last minute cancellations.
UPDATE: 10/15/16 ~ If we do not have at least one reservation, for a class, within 1 1/2 hours of the class start time, the trainer reserves the right to cancel the class. If a student fails to cancel a reservation within 1 1/2 hours of class start time, we reserve the right to charge the student $15 for a missed class fee (including members).
NOTE ~ to ensure you receive a text or email regarding class cancellations, please be sure to check your client profile to be sure you have checked the box. Also be sure you RESERVE your class, if we don't know your coming, we won't know to tell you the class has been cancelled.
Class Schedule, trainer substitutions and class style substitutions
Again, our goal is to offer a consistent schedule to all our students and members. Sometimes, however, we will need to substitute a class style, trainer or even cancel a class all together. Prior notification will be sent to all members in our system to let them know of the change, if time allows. LivFit Studio reserves the right to change or cancel a class at any time.
We have made paying for your LivFit membership and classes simple and easy and we highly encourage our students to use this payment option. You can go online to our website and pay for classes before you arrive. All classes must be paid for before the start of class. If you plan to pay for your class at the studio, please arrive 15 minutes before class to afford ample time to do so.
